Having amassed a wide variety of commercial property knowledge throughout his career, Robert is highly regarded for his clear and concise advice on a broad range of complex property issues.
Robert founded Colman Coyle with Howard Colman in 1984 and continues to jointly manage the firm’s successful development.
As Head of the Property Department he provides guidance to the property team but also continues to offer hands on advice to Colman Coyle’s property developer and investor clients. He advises on acquisitions, developments, disposals, lettings, renewals, rent reviews and other associated matters. He acts for a range of clients including property developers of all sizes, clients in the hospitality and leisure sector, and entrepreneurs.
He also offers strategic support to the Corporate and Commercial Department having dealt with company acquisitions and disposals for many years. He also finds that his knowledge and experience of company law can be invaluable when advising on property transactions which are part of a broader company matter.
Robert is involved in several local interest groups including acting as Chairperson for the Angel Business Improvement District and Treasurer of the Islington Society.
Robert qualified as a solicitor in 1979.
