Ignacio Morillas-Paredes, a Partner at Colman Coyle, was invited to be a guest speaker in Spain on Saturday 5th October 2019 to discuss the legal, political, economic and social issues of Brexit.
The conference, hosted by the British Spanish Law Association and IE Law School in Madrid, provided a good opportunity for Ignacio to provide delegates with up to date knowledge of the current political situation facing the UK, helpful to look after their international Anglo-Spanish clients.
The UK is scheduled to leave the European Union on Thursday 31st October 2019.
Boris Johnson and his team are currently trying to renegotiate with the EU over the controversial backstop, linking Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, before bringing Theresa May’s deal back to the House of Commons on Saturday 19th October 2019.
