As you are aware, every year there are new Employment Tribunal compensation rates which apply from the 6th of April each year (The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2019). For 2019, employers just need to be aware of some of the new rates namely:-
1. The average weekly pay will increase from £508 to £525. Therefore, if an employer makes redundancies after 6th April 2019, please ensure that the correct rate is applied.
2. In terms of the new compensation limits in an unfair dismissal case, currently the maximum compensatory figure is £83,682. This will increase to £86,444.
