What is the average allowance of annual leave? Ignacio Morillas-Paredes discusses in his recent Herrera en COPE radio interview

Ignacio Morillas-Paredes has appeared on Herrera en COPE radio along with university professor Ramiro Cabeñes in Shanghai, to discuss which countries (on average) are given the lowest and highest allowance of annual leave days.

Please find below the standard amount of annual leave days in Europe and China:

China: 10 days
Belgium, Greece, and Hungary: 20 days
Spain: 22 days
Italy, Austria, Sweden, and Slovakia: 25 days
United Kingdom: 28 days

Ignacio explains during the interview: “the United Kingdom is on average 28 days because those minimum days, twenty, are added by all bank holidays: Christmas, Easter… That is why that number comes out. At the end of the day, it would be something like what happens in Spain in terms of regional and national bank holidays to be added to the minimum annual leave.”

La COPE is a leading radio station in Spain offering full national coverage and Ignacio is delighted to be regularly invited as a guest speaker to discuss important and topical issues.
