Georgina Kyriacou

Head of the Employment and Insolvency & Business Recovery Departments

Georgina has a wealth of experience in Employment matters and advises HR directors and managers on all aspects of employment law. However she specialises in dismissing high-level executives and agreeing terms. She has an in depth knowledge of TUPE and has recently advised major construction firms in this matter, regarding service change provisions particularly in relation to public sector contracts. She also regularly provides employment advice to leading insolvency practitioners in context of liquidations, administration orders, administrators and owner managed insolvent businesses.

Her clients come from a broad range of industry sectors but include  PLCs and leading names in the finance, construction and retail sectors.

Georgina advises clients on  insolvency and business recovery law and has considerable experience in advising liquidators, administrators, receivers, trustees and supervisors in a wide range of matters. She works closely with several leading insolvency practitioners and barristers. She also deals with company court matters such as directors' disqualification actions, minority shareholder actions and petitions on a just and equitable basis.

Georgina's experience in corporate and commercial law is invaluable when advising clients on both the sale and purchase of businesses, business start ups and business structures, considering and drafting Articles of Association, Shareholders Agreements and Partnership Agreements.

Georgina joined Colman Coyle as a Trainee Solicitor in February 1989. She has been a Partner since 1992. She is the partner responsible for staff development and marketing.

Georgina is a member of the Employment Law Association (ELA), Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3), and Turnaround Managment Association (TMA).
