Sandra Martins

Associate in the Employment Department

Sandra qualified in 2001 and has specialised in Employment Law ever since. She trained and worked in top 200 law firms before joining Colman Coyle in 2009.

She has experience of all areas of Employment Law, including TUPE, insolvency in a TUPE context, unfair dismissal, disability, sex, race and sexual orientation discrimination. She acts primarily on behalf of a number of large companies and PLCs on Tribunal matters and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of non-contentious Employment Law.

Sandra works closely with the HR departments of several PLCs and large companies in the construction and banking sectors and has a great deal of experience in advising clients in the food manufacture and security sectors.

She provides practical legal guidance on all HR and disciplinary/capability issues and has particular experience in guiding clients through collective redundancies and TUPE, including information and consultation obligations, and the acquisition of insolvent businesses.

She writes on employment issues for the professional HR press and business publications, including the London Chamber of Commerce's magazine, London Business Matters. Sandra is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
