Gordon Ramsay Faces Employment Tribunal
Celebrity TV chef Gordon Ramsay has come under fire, facing claims in an Employment Tribunal - from his in-laws!
It has emerged that his mother-in-law has brought a claim for damages involving unfair dismissal, breach of contract, failure to pay redundancy payments and breaking employment laws regarding working hours.
It also appears that Ramsay's brother-in-law and nephew are making claims on similar grounds.
Clearly, no-one can accuse the chef of conducting nepotistic practices and this just goes to show that all employers - including celebrity chefs - can face the wrath of an Employment Tribunal if they do not treat their staff in accordance with employment legislation.
It is not yet apparent when the Tribunal will hear the claim, however, to keep up to date with this and other employment law matters, search "#ukemplaw" on Twitter.
